Blue Guy was created in 2018, as a way for me to practice character animation. Built around the K2 armature from Kinetic Armatures, He was intentionally designed without a mouth to encourage more thoughtful acting choices. I built custom grip blocks onto the puppeT, added rig points, as well as foam to mimmic muscle. A newer work in progress version of the puppet uses 3D printed grip blocks modeled over another k2 armature. It also has a set of replacement faces that will be used to make different expressions.
The Royal Court dragon has a wire armature with a fleece body. It was made in less than a week and has been seen almost 200 million times on YouTube! Materials used were chipboard, paint, fleece, aluminum wire, epoxy putty, and brass stock.
